the main elements that determine the efficiency of a ball valve is its valve ball and sealing element - the seats. ball plug together with two sealing seats forms a ball valve and the valve substantially defines tightness, durability, and cost of the ball valve. we can manufacture different kinds of valve seat according to customers drawing. for example: soft seats, metal seats, floating ball valve seat, trunnion valve seat, three-way ball valve seat, v port ball valve seat.
ball valves in sizes up to 2 inch generally come in single piece, two or three piece designs. one piece ball valves are almost always reduced bore, are relatively inexpensive and generally are throw-away. two piece ball valves are generally slightly reduced bore, they can be either throw-away or repairable. the 3 piece design allows for the center part of the valve containing the ball, stem seats to be easily removed from the pipeline. this facilitates efficient cleaning of deposited sediments, replacement of seats and gland packings, polishing out of small scratches on the ball, all this without removing the pipes from the valve body. the design concept of a three piece valve is for it to be repairable.
trunnion valve ball has additional mechanical anchoring at the top and bottom. the trunnion style ball prevents ball blowout and contributes to low operating torque. it is suitable for large and high pressure ball valves. this design of trunnion valve ball provides automatic relief of cavity overpressure. these balls are available with soft as well as metal seats designed for either high temperature or cryogenic service.
in floating ball design, two seat rings are used to support the ball in a floating-ball design.the flow control valve stem is attached to the ball at a slotted right angle to the ball valve's port. this design makes the ball to float or move in the direction of the seat ring on top, when the shaft is rotated. when the ball valve is closed, fluid pressure makes the ball to push against the seat ring at the bottom. this design is suited for all differential ball valve body styles.

valve body bolts compress valve seats against the ball, providing bidirectional sealing at the upstream seat. to compensate for seat wear, body bolts can be slightly tightened to re-compress seats against ball.
ball valve is a form of quarter-turn valve which uses a hollow, perforated and pivoting ball to control flow through it. it is open when the ball's hole is in line with the flow and closed when it is pivoted 90-degrees by the valve handle. the handle lies flat in alignment with the flow when open, and is perpendicular to it when closed, making for easy visual confirmation of the valve's status.
